These terms apply when you use the Roof Brands website, ask us for an estimate or a quote, buy from our eStore, use our partner program (including the partner portal and our WhatsApp service), or otherwise deal with Consolidated Roof Brands (Pty) Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). By using the website or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information and forms part of these terms.

3. Using the website
- You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.
- Please give us accurate details. We rely on them to reply, quote and deliver.
- You may not misuse the site: no attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, and no use of it for anything unlawful.
- The content of this site (text, images, logos and designs) belongs to us or our partners and may not be copied or reused without our written permission. Brand names and logos of other companies belong to those companies.
- The site may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
4. Estimates and quotes
- An estimate from our online estimator is a rough guide to cost based on the information you enter. It is not an offer and not a quote, and the final price can be higher or lower.
- A quote is based on your plans or the details you give us. It is valid for the period stated on it. We may withdraw or change a quote if the plans, quantities, specification or material prices change.
- Roof trusses are designed for the specific building. A design or quote is only as good as the plans and information supplied, and you are responsible for confirming that the plans and measurements you give us are correct.
- No agreement for custom or made-to-order work is formed until we confirm your order in writing and, where we ask for it, receive the payment or deposit.
4A. Online quotes and your quote login
- Your quote link. When we publish a quote online, we send a personal link to the people you tell us may see it. To open it, you enter a one-time code we email to you. The link and code are for you only. Please do not forward them or share your code.
- Who may view it. If someone else needs to see the quote, ask us, or use the "ask for access" option on the quote page. We tell the quote's owner, who can allow or ignore the request. We keep a list of who has been allowed to view a quote and when it was opened.
- Stamped copies. Quotes opened or downloaded from the portal are stamped with the viewer's contact details and the date and time, so that we can trace a copy that is shared without permission. A quote is confidential to the people it was issued to and may not be copied, published or passed to a competitor without our written permission.
- Latest version. Only the latest version of a quote is shown. When we replace a quote, the earlier version is no longer available through the portal, and the version shown applies.
- Estimates you request online. When you upload plans or details to request a roof estimate, you confirm that you may share them with us. An estimate is a guide and is not an offer. A member of our staff checks it before it is sent to you, and the final quote may differ.
5. Buying from the eStore
5.1 Prices and availability
Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). The price you see when you check out, or on your quote, is the price that applies to that order, and the order summary or quote shows whether VAT is included. We try to keep prices, descriptions and availability accurate. If we find an error, we may correct it and contact you before going ahead with your order, and you may then cancel it.
5.2 Placing an order and paying
Your order is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we accept it, normally by confirming it with you or by starting to prepare it. Card and instant EFT payments are processed by PayFast (a Network International company). We do not see or store your card details. An order is treated as paid once PayFast confirms the payment to us.
5.3 Delivery and collection
Delivery cost and timing depend on your location and the items ordered and are confirmed with you when you order or in your quote. Delivery dates are estimates and not guarantees. Please make sure someone is available to receive the goods and check them on delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered or collected, and ownership passes to you once they are paid for in full.
5.4 Faulty goods, returns and cancellations
- If an item is faulty, damaged, or is not what you ordered, please tell us as soon as you can and keep the item and its packaging so that we can inspect it. Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) are not limited by these terms.
- Goods made or cut to your specification, such as roof trusses, are made specially for you. They cannot be returned or cancelled once we have started making them, unless they are faulty or do not match what was agreed. Any cooling-off right under consumer law does not apply to goods made to your specification.
- For standard stock items, where we accept a return it will be agreed with you first, and the goods must be unused, undamaged and in their original packaging.
6. Technical information and professional responsibility
Roof structures must be designed, erected and inspected by suitably qualified people in line with the applicable standards and building regulations. Information on this website, in estimates and in marketing material is general in nature and is not engineering advice. You remain responsible for obtaining any engineering sign-off, building plan approval and inspections your project needs.
7. The partner program
These terms apply to people who sign up as partners on the website or on WhatsApp.
- Applications. We review every application and may approve, decline or put it on hold at our discretion. You must give true and complete information.
- Not employment. A partner is an independent business or professional. Joining the program does not make you our employee, agent or representative, and you may not say you are.
- No guarantee of work. Approval does not guarantee jobs, leads, income or training places. We assign jobs at our discretion.
- Leads you send us. Before you send us a client's details, you must tell the client that you are sharing them with us and why, and be sure that the information is accurate. Leads from partners who are not yet approved are checked by us before we act on them. If a lead becomes a job, how it is handled and how any partner is involved is decided by us and agreed with you.
- Training. Courses are run by independent training providers. Choosing or applying for a course on our site or on WhatsApp is a request only. Places, dates, fees, entry requirements and certificates are decided by the provider, and we are not responsible for their courses.
- Quality and conduct. Partners must work safely and lawfully, follow the manufacturer's specifications and the applicable standards, and treat clients with respect. We may suspend or remove a partner who does not.
- Contractor quoting tools. Approved roofing contractors may price jobs through the partner portal. The price shown to a contractor is our selling price to them. The contractor sets their own margin and their own price to their client, and we do not control what a contractor charges.
- Your files and details. You must have the right to upload the plans and job files you give us, and you must tell your client that their job information is shared with us for pricing. You must give us accurate company details, because they appear on the quotes you issue.
- Fair use. Pricing runs are limited per day for each account. Do not try to work out our costs or to get round the limits, and do not share your login. We may suspend an account that does.
- Erecting partners. Where we price the materials and an erecting partner adds their labour, the client quote is issued by us. The erecting partner is named on it, and the client pays us under the payment details on the quote. The erecting partner does not see our cost prices.
- Review of a price. A contractor may ask us to review a price and must give a reason. We will consider the request but are not obliged to change the price.
8. WhatsApp service
Partners can use our partner services over WhatsApp. WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp and Meta, and your use of it is subject to their terms and privacy policies. Messages you send to our WhatsApp number, including files you upload such as building plans, are kept by us and used to run the partner program as described in our Privacy Policy. We reply to messages you send us. We may also use WhatsApp to send you messages about your application, jobs and training where WhatsApp's rules allow it. Please do not send anything unlawful, offensive or unrelated to the partner program.
We may also send our staff, and you, WhatsApp messages and emails about your request, estimate or quote (for example, that a request was received or that an estimate is ready). You can ask us to use email instead.
9. Our liability
We take care to keep this website and our services accurate and available, but we cannot promise that the website will always be available, error-free or free of harmful components.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profit, lost business, or delays to a project), or for loss caused by incorrect information or plans supplied to us, by events outside our reasonable control, or by your misuse of our products. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
10. Privacy
We handle your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date and applies from then. Orders already accepted are governed by the terms that applied when we accepted them.
12. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
- If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
- If we do not enforce a right straight away, we have not given it up.
- Questions or complaints? Please contact us at macdonald@roofbrands.co.za and we will try to resolve it.
